WEEKEND NEWS

Dear Parents,
          Can you believe we are at the end of another month?  Where does the time go?  We had a wonderful time snowshoeing. THANK YOU to all of the parents and grandfathers who helped us out on our field trip.  What a beautiful way to spend the day!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • REPORT CARDS: These have been sent home through the Portal today.  If you haven’t received your Portal Number to log on, please contact the office.  We are having a contest to see which class has the most Portal users.  The winning class will be given a party sponsored by the PTA.  Help our class win!!  Sign up and use the Portal not only for previewing grades, but for attendance records, Kindergarten schedule, important messages from the office, and lunch money/account information.
  • Scholastic Book Orders:  February orders are being sent home.  Due date is Feb. 11th.  You may order on-line www.scholastic.com/bookclubs .  Enter code HCWNC to get to our class order forms.  The class gets a free book for every order placed on-line.

WEEKEND NEWS

Dear Parents,
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • HOMEWORK UPDATE:  We have now advanced to the next level of Drops in the Bucket homework.  These papers have different skills than the previous papers.  We completed one Language and one Math page yesterday in class.  Please look over these completed pages to help answer any questions regarding the new format.  If students still have questions, please have them ask me for help as soon as possible.
  • SNOWSHOEING ON WEDNESDAY:  Students need a sack lunch (may buy one from school), water, snack, and warm clothing/boots.  We leave at 8:45 and return around 2:00.  We are going to have fun!!
