ELLIS MOTTO: “I AM RESPONSIBLE AND ALWAYS LEARNING!!!”
Dear Parents,
· Our 4th Graders will be going to Swore Farm on Wednesday, Sept. 28th. We will leave at 8:40 and return at 1:45. Please sign and return the attached permission slip. Students will need to bring a sack lunch or order one from school. This field trip is sponsored by Bannock County Farm Bureau. Thank you Farm Bureau. We need 2 volunteers to go with us. If you are interested, please call or send a note to school.
· I’m sending home a set of Book Orders. You may order out of any or all of them. You will only need to write one check for all the book orders. You can make checks payable to Scholastic Book Clubs. The orders will be due back to school by Friday, September 23rd. You may also order on-line. Please read the attached letter for directions.
· Our classroom is in need of 7 more volunteers to help out with the Carnival on Monday, Sept. 27th. Available times are 6:00-6:30 (1 slot), 6:30-7:00 (2 slots), 7:00-7:30 (2 slots), and 7:30-8:00 (2 slots). Please contact me if you are able to help out. PLEASE SEND IN A BAG OF SUCKERS FOR THE CARVNIVAL SUCKER TREE.
· Our class is in 3rd place for the PTA membership drive. Join PTA and help us win a party from Kiwi Loco!!
· Our class is still looking for a parent to volunteer to be our classroom art mom or dad. This takes about 3 hours of work each month: 1 hour for prep time, 1 hour to teach the lesson, and 1 hour to display the works of art. All supplies and lesson plans are provided by the PTA. Let me know if you are interested!!
· Order forms are attached if you would like to order a new Ellis t-shirt.
· I will try and have the Weekend News ready to go via e-mail next Friday for those of you who have signed up for e-mail. I will be sending home a test e-mail next week. Please respond to the test e-mail so that I know you are able to receive the messages and open up the letter attachments.
