WEEKEND NEWS

October 21, 2011

Dear Parents,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

·   It was wonderful seeing all of you during conferences!  Thanks for coming in.
 ·   The school district is having problems with our Outlook e-mail system.  Teachers are not receiving some of the e-mails sent by parents.  The e-mails are going into a spam account and are unable to be open or seen by teachers.  Teachers are not even aware that an e-mail has been sent.  The district is working on correcting this problem.  Until the problem is fixed,  I will send home Friday letters in your child’s homework folder.
·   Here are some math web sites for your child to practice his/her math skills:  www.funbrain.com, www.mathisfun.com, www.coolmath-games.com
·   Please read the attached paper that explains PTA Reflections.  This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to shine.  I hope all of you choose to participate in this activity.
·   Red Ribbon Week (Drug Awareness Week) will be held Oct. 31 – Nov. 4th.  These are the days:
·   Monday:  Wear as much red as possible!
·   Tuesday:  Pajama Day
·   Wednesday:  Crazy Hair Day
·   Thursday:  Inside Out Day (wear clothes inside out)
·   Friday:  Extreme Ellis Spirit Day (wear lots of Ellis colors)
·   INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL PICTURES will be taken Friday, Oct. 28th.
