Dear Parents,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
*                   FIELD TRIP:  IDAHO STATE SYMPHONY: MANY STUDENTS HAVE NOT BROUGHT BACK THEIR PERMISSION SLIPS.  PLEASE SEND BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! We will be attending the symphony on Wednesday, March 19th.  We will leave school at 10:20 and return around 12:00. There is limited seating, so unfortunately we won’t be asking for any parent chaperones.
*                   NO HOMEWORK will be sent home next Friday.  The new homework and spelling lists will be sent home on Monday, March 31st.  Please read over spring break.
*                   AR GOALS DUE ON APRIL 9th KEEP READING!!!!!
*                   MARCH BOOK ORDERS:  orders are due back by Thursday, March 20th.  Please make any checks payable to Scholastic Book Clubs. You may also order on-line at www.scholastic.com/bookclubs .  Use this code to order books:  HCWNC.   
*                   Please support the PTA Family Fun Run/Walk on April 12th.  Registration forms were sent home earlier this week.  Please complete the forms and send back as soon as possible.

Dear Parents,
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
*                   FIELD TRIP:  IDAHO STATE SYMPHONY: we will be attending the symphony on Wednesday, March 19th.  We will leave school at 10:20 and return around 12:00. There is limited seating, so unfortunately we won’t be asking for any parent chaperones. Please sign the attached bus permission slips and send back to school as soon as possible.
*                   Thank you for the bags of potato chips.  We are still in need of more for our Geography Night. DONATIONS NEEDED FOR GEOGRAPHY NIGHT: Fourth grade will be presenting information about Idaho. Dear Parents,
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
*                    DONATIONS NEEDED FOR GEOGRAPHY NIGHT: Fourth grade will be presenting information about Idaho. Because we are famous for potatoes, we would like to serve samples of potato chips.  We would like to serve regular, barbecue, and sour cream potato chips.  If you would like to help us out by donating a bag or two, we would really appreciate it! J  You can send in any donations by Geography Night which is Thursday, March  13th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
*                    Many students are in need of more pencils and notebooks.  Please check with your son or daughter to see what supplies they may need. J
*                    PROJECT WINGS:  We had an excellent presentation from Claudia Tremelling and Idaho Power on birds of prey today.  Please ask your child to tell you what he/she learned from the presentation.
*                    WE ARE THE UPPER GRADE WINNERS OF THE PENNY WARS!!!!  Thank you for supporting the Idaho Food Bank.  Our class has earned either a pizza party or a Kiwi Loco party. Way to go Room 5 Falcons!!
*                    Spring Break is March 24th - March 28th.
*                    Report cards are now viewable on Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  THANK YOU for using Infinite Campus. 
*                    MATH HOMEWORK: I am sending home another elapsed time worksheet.  Please help your child with this assignment.  We have been solving these types of problems by plotting the starting and ending times on a line and “hopping” ahead by hours then the minutes to reach our end times.  This helps the students to visualize the time passing.
