Dear Parents,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

· HUNDRED’S DAY is Wednesday, Feb. 8^th. Our school is having each child bring a project made from 100 items they have at home. They may use cereal, macaroni, pennies, etc. Get creative!! I have put a piece of cardstock in each homework folder that may be used to glue the items onto.

· VALENTINE’S DAY AND BOXES: Students may make a Valentine box at home or they may make a sack at school. Students may bring their Valentine’s cards and boxes any time next week. Please make sure they have their names on the boxes. I have put a list of student names in their homework folders.

· THANK YOU TO MRS. LISH FOR ANOTHER WONDERFUL MUSIC LESSON!! We love having Laney’s grandma share her talents with us.

· SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS: February orders are being sent home. Due date is Feb. 15^th. You may order on-line www.scholastic.com/bookclubs . Enter code HCWNC to get to our class order forms. The class gets a free book for every order placed on-line. If students want to order a book with their Christmas coupon, they need to write “Free” next to the book on the order form.

· CLASS AND SPRING PORTRAIT PICTURES: Class and spring pictures will be taken on Thursday, February 16th. (I had told you the wrong date in my Jan. 20^th newsletter.) Packets will be sent home with information before picture day.

· UPCOMING DATES AND EVENTS:

· February 15th, Wednesday- W/F kindergarten session only spring and class pictures

· February 16th, Thursday- spring and class pictures K- 5th

· February 17th, Friday- Moms and Muffins 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

· February 20th, Monday- President's Day, No school

· February 21st through February 24th- Penny Wars

· February 24th, Friday- End of 2nd trimester-AR GOALS DUE

· February 27th, Monday- Record Day, No school
